Child Development Program Case Manager

Birth to Three Prevention Initiative

 

Responsibilities Include:

· Establish and maintain relationships with families in an effort to enhance the child's social & emotional development, family functioning and their child care experience.

· Participate in Baby TALK training and assist in the implementation of the Baby TALK family engagement curriculum in the Birth-Three Program. 

· Upon intake, conduct social history assessments and screen families to learn about risk factors.  Based on identified risk factors, work with families to develop goals and create a Family Service Plan.

· Provide appropriate referrals/linkage for parents & caregivers to internal and external providers.

· Provide case management services to families, including, but not limited to: goal setting, home visiting, assistance with housing, emergency food needs and clothing.

· Plan and take part in “family fun” events. 

· Distribute developmental newsletters on regular basis. 

· Conduct classroom observations. Develop behavior management plans/contracts when necessary. Communicate regularly with teachers and section supervisors. 

· Maintain professional documentation of all work done with clients. 

· Develop collaborative relationships with community agencies and school services.

 

Requirements:

· Bachelors Degree in Social Work or other Human Services related field.

· Spanish speaking preferred. 

· Coursework in child development, therapeutic skills.

· Minimum 1 year prior experience working with families (child welfare & families with young children) preferred.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written.

· Good listening and analytical problem-solving skills.

· Strong time management skills. Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.

· Ability to work collaboratively and independently. 

· Demonstrated computer literacy.

· Valid IL drivers license w/out violation in the past 3 years, regular access to a car, and auto insurance. 

· Must provide college transcripts upon request.

Full-time opening for a Teacher in the Pre-School section

 

We are currently seeking a motivated and dynamic Teacher for our NAEYC accredited childcare program.

 

Responsibilities Include:

· Team-teach to plan and implement a child-centered program designed for the emotional, social, educational and physical development of young children.

· Create a safe, accessible, stimulating environment to invite exploration, discovery and problem-solving.

· Develop age-appropriate goals for individual children and the group that guide an emergent Creative Curriculum ®.

· Integrate literacy and cultural diversity into the classroom experience.

· Support family participation and parent education opportunities.

· Integrate the Center’s mission into daily work.

 

Requirements:

· Must possess a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development from an accredited college or university  AND at least 30 semester hours of coursework in Early Childhood Education. 

· Prior teaching experience and/or experience in group childcare preferred.

· Ability to establish a respectful and trustworthy relationship with children.
