Text Box: Marillac Social Center’s Associate Board Do you want to make a difference in the community and have fun doing it? If so, WE NEED YOU! JOIN OUR ASSOCIATE BOARD!   What is the Associate Board? The Marillac Associate Board is the junior board of Marillac Social Center. The board helps to support and create awareness for the mission and programming of the organization through activities, fundraisers, events and volunteering.   Who can serve on the Associate Board? All individuals between the ages of 21 – 40 who are interested in lending their talents to helping children and families on Chicago’s West Side can serve on the board. We are looking for individuals with a variety of different educational, occupational, demographic and neighborhood backgrounds who are interested in serving the center in a fun and engaging manner.   What does the Associate Board do? The Associate Board is responsible for hosting two major fundraising activities a year, minor networking/fundraising activities and two volunteer experiences. On top of these activities they are another face for the organization sharing their experiences at Marillac with others in the community.   Structure of the Associate Board The board has a current goal of 15 members, with four members serving in leadership roles such as President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. They meet once a month (the second Tuesday of every month) to discuss their calendar and how to engage the young professional community.   Expectations of the Associate Board Members Members of the associate board are to pay a yearly membership pledge of $75 to the Center, attend all board meetings and events and serve on one of the committees for the various activities they will be organizing. 2009 – 2010 Marillac Associate Board Members   Nancy Tisa Lisa Bonjour Jason Maslanka Jessica Banas Dana Fairchild Brian Clark Michelle Mirzoian YOU!!
