Infant Toddler Specialist
SUMMARY:
Responsible for the care, education and development
of the infants and toddlers and supervision of the Infant and Toddler staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contributes to the development of the overall agency and
center education plan.
- Develops and maintains a quality program that meets the
needs of children, families and staff.
- Including planning, organization and evaluation the
Birth-Three program and integration of the components.
- Assures the recruitment of eligible children and maintaining
a wait list.
- Recruits, interviews, selects and trains and supervises all
Birth to Three staff including student teachers, volunteers and interns.
- Supervises the maintenance of classroom equipments
- Establishes and maintains and effective working relationship
with families and the community.
- Conducts weekly staff meetings with agenda and minutes,
plans and implements regular in-service meetings.
- Assures classroom team is creating an atmosphere in which
children develop socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically.
- Maintains accurate up to date records, assists in developing
and monitoring program budget for the Birth-Three program.
- Plans and conducts parent meetings.
- Provides administrative coverage of the center as assigned
or arranged
- Recruits and arranges for voluntary services of professional
personnel and local community residents.
- Other Duties as assigned.
REPORTS TO: Early
Childhood Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.A. in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college
or University or a B.A. in a related field with 18 credit hours in Child
Development and 3 years of experience in an early childhood setting.
- Must possess an Infant Toddler credential level 5, an
Erikson Institute infant/toddler certificate or equivalent.
- Must possess proficient MS Office skills.
- Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to interact with administration, staff, consultants, regulators
and funders.
- Must be able to work in a demanding environment and be able
to multi-task.
This position is Full-Time, Non-exempt (Hourly, eligible for Overtime).
