Marillac Health and Wellness Center

Marillac Health and Wellness Center opened its doors in January 2007 to provide primary health care services to all clients of Marillac House. The Nurse Practitioners from Rush University College of Nursing are trained to provide comprehensive care which includes treatment and management of acute and chronic illness, with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention. Our special thanks to the VNA (Visiting Nurse Association) Foundation whose grants have made the Wellness Center possible.

Health care services at Marillac are provided free of charge and include annual physicals for adults and children as well as the required immunizations and screenings. The Nurse Practitioners can write prescriptions when needed.

The specially educated staff see their role not only as providers of care but also as “bridges” to the rest of the health care community. Referrals are made for clients who need lab or x-ray services, or who need a primary doctor or specialist.
